Trance is unique. Trance makes me feel that everything is alright in this world. It sends such a positive vibe. Trance is a positive music style which cause positive emotions in me. It gives me a joy of life. It takes me to places; a place I feel awesome. It hypnotizes me and I feel like I’m in this magical world with a strong feeling that only dreams are able to bring. This feeling where your in a perfect world and your living in it. It is the medicine for me.
When I listen to trance, I can feel these emotions that was hidden by the artist. I can feel the artist. It enables me to see what he wanted to tell by this track but it has to be an amazing track to do so. Some DJ’s can do it like others. For instance you can feel amazing when you listen to Ferry Corsten - Beautiful.. Tell me you don’t feel awesome after listening to that track? Everything around you just feels beautiful. When I’m sad or angry, all I have to do is put on my favorite song and within seconds I will feel like myself again; but again I listen to it when I wake up, on the way to work, in the evening, and when I go to bed. Overall it’s a great boost for me, it always effect me in a positive way. I can say it’s a form of meditation for me.
The beat, the melody or what not. Trance creates this energy among listeners. Being in the presences of uplifting music and a large crowd which is in that ‘state of trance’ is more spiritual than being in a church. The closest I’ve ever felt near God is when under the influence of trance; no, ecstasy is not the factor. I’ve been moved to tears by the music, moved to jump, throw my hands up in the air with the DJ and crowd and completely opened myself up to the beautiful energy the music and the crowd created.
I love this genre because it feeds my spirit. It inspires me and to move me like no other music can. The absences of the vocals for majority of the track are the best assets. The music doesn’t really tell you what to think or feel, but the entire crowd is experiencing the music feels the same way. It frees my mind, body, and soul. Happy or sad.. it was the cure for everything. Trance saved my life.
